Harry F. Uerling
Harry F. Uerling died Tuesday (September 23, 1997) at Prescott, Arizona. He was 68 years old.
He was born on February 21, 1929, to Joseph M. and Helen G. (Ten Voorde) Uerling at McCook. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1947. Harry served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954, during the Korean Conflict.
On August 31, 1955, he married Fay Marie Malleck at St. Catherine's Church in Indianola. They moved to Prescott from Littleton, CO, in 1993. Harry was employed by Safeway Stores as a meat market manager. He had been retired for four years. Harry was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He liked sports, refinishing old furniture, and gardening. He was especially proud of his two sons.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother-in-law.
Survivors include his wife, Fay, of Prescott; two sons, Andrew Uerling and wife, Janet, of Murrieta, CA and Derek Uerling and wife, Beverly, of Huntington, CA; two sisters, Ann Sughroue of Lincoln and Mary and husband, Terry Lewis, of Galena, MO; one brother; Jerry Uerling and wife, Florence, of Indianola; and many nieces and nephews.
